Arrow 2007 4R75E valve body rebuild

rebuilt this valve body for a 2007 transmission. The engine is NA but has a few bolts ons. Since its wasn't a daily driver, the customer requested a very firm shift.

The pressure regulator valve was moderately worn, it was replaced with a new valve from Sonnax.

The boost valve and OD servo regulator valve were replaced as well

The end plug on the 2-3/1-2 shift valves usually wears and causes a pressure leak, a new plug with an o-ring is installed to prevent pressure leaks and sloppy 1-2/2-3 shifts

The stock separator plate was replaced with a Superior Tuff plate and drilled to Jmod spec;

hole 1 drilled to .161"

hole 2 drilled to .116"

hole 3 drilled to .180"

hole 4 & 5 drilled to .116"

hole 6 drilled to .161"

hole 7 drilled to .089"

hole 8 not used for this application

hole 9 & 11 drilled to .125"

hole 10 drilled to .089"

Darn aggressive drilling. That should bang like a mother.

Interesting. The purple lower spring is going to take most of the hit out of the shift and just make it a quick shift instead. Just out of curiosity, why that spring choice?

that's the whole point Darrin, shifts are firm and fast with out banging or being harsh.

I have this spring combination before and it worked perfectly.

Gotcha. I was just wondering since that's an unusual setup. Definitely nothing wrong, just out of the ordinary. I had problems doing things like that because it would lower the shift points at WOT. That's easily corrected with a tune however.
