Gents,
I have an '03 FX4 that just blew the 4r70W transmission. The truck will soon get a forged motor and a supercharger. Hp goals are not extreme-- between 400 and 500 hp. When I repair the transmission do I need to "build" it to endure these higher power loads, or is rebuilding it to stock specs fine?

If I do "build" it, what does that mean? What parts are chosen, what mods, etc., and why? What should I do to this tranny before I put it back into my project? Specific advice, broken down Barney-style, would be a very great help. I'll have somebody else do the work, of course, but I need to know what to ask for and why.
