F350 Transmission missing

First off should this go in the old Ford section?

Bought a police auction truck site unseen (I know I know).
Had transmission troubles. It's gone. And finding an E4OD is tough.
460 big block. 1991

How hard is it to put the 5 speed in it's place.

Computer.
Transmission.
Flywheel.
Starter.
Clutch pedal assembly and I guess brake too.

What else?

Rodney

You don't have to change the computer - it'll set codes for the missing E4OD, but it won't turn on the CEL since they won't be emissions faults.

Several people on FSB have done this swap, so do some searching there & you'll find plenty of info.

You know you can use a diesel E4OD, right? And you know it should either be newer than '95 (or have been rebuilt after '95) to get the good upgrades, right?

The diesel and the 460 have different bolt patterns. A diesel trans won't bolt to a 460.
