T-18 or T-19 Tranny

Hey-

I live in Connecticut. Can anyone recommend how to go about finding one of these trannies? Bargainnews etc.

Thanks

Junkyard pre '93 trucks would be yer searchin' point. What motor do you need to bolt to? 4x4?

Usually the junkyards around here kill you on just about anything, for some reason it's beyond top dollar (which doesn't seem right for a "junk" yard). Anyhow, everyones gotta make their $. The truck is a 2 wheel drive 150 with a 4.9 and that mazda overdrive tranny. Pre-93 you say? So any T-18 or T-19 that I find pre 93 would work? Why not after 93 seeing as the truck is a 95?

Thanks for the info-

'93+ F-150/Broncos did not get the T-18 from the factory anymore. So with yer extra details you need a 2wd donor truck or a pre '77 F-250 4x4 which used the two wheel drive case also.

The T-18 or 19 itself can com from any truck, but the bell housing needs to come from a 300/302/351W to have the right bolt pattern.

I know the manual listings are not as complete at the automatics currenly, but the tranny sticky has some more info fer ya.
