Thumbs up Pop-up Raptor?

I saw this at Home Depot this morning before work. I just had to take a picture! (Sorry, it was taken with the boss' crappy work camera.) Anyone know this guy? I think it had Nevada tags. I think the camper is one of these. I don't suppose you'd be doing baja jumps with one of these on the back!?!? Kudos to this guy for being different!

Indeed, it seems wasteful. I suppose that if I could afford it, I might do it just to say that I did. Who knows, maybe he sets up camp and then does some jumping! Or maybe he just couldn't afford an Earthroamer.

Apparently most of you guys don't camp. I enjoy going camping where noone else goes and this setup allows that guy to do just that. How many places can you pull a trailer or drive a motorhome to?

Why is the truck trashed????? Maybe he was going camping or just bought it to go camping. Those four legs can be jacked up to remove it. Im sure he doesnt drive around with it at all times.

And why do you give a damn how this guy uses his truck?

How many loads of gravel have you hauled? How about a load of cinder blocks? Lumber? 4 wheelers? If not then you are not using your truck even slightly what it was intended for.

Yeah it may look goofy but the truck is designed for off road use. Would you guys harass me for having a tent set up next to mine(or my little tent set up IN the bed)? How about kayaks and bikes? Is it alright if have them in the bed occasionally?

I wonder how many people think I have off road lights and all terrain tires just for looks? They are on there because they are usefull when there isn't a paved road lined with street lamps.

If I paid 40K for an off road machine I would use it as one. Instead I paid 15K for a new one and made it as capable as I needed.

I thought some campers might chime in! Here in Boulder County, if you want a quiet campsite, you have to be able to get farther up the trail than a Subaru. Most 4x4 trucks will do it...that truck will without question.

Lord knows I've camped beside my truck (and in my bed) dozens of times. I have given some thought to a small pop-up since we're makin' babies now...but I just love my tents!
