How are the rough country shocks?

Here are 2 sets I was looking at that are priced ok. Rough country makes lift kits right, figured their shocks should be good too.

This is on my 97 F150 XLT 4x4 with the 4.6. I dont think it is lifted, so I need a set that would work for stock application but perhaps for small lift as well.

I think the 9000 mentioned for stock or small lift.

I'm looking for a shock that will give me a smooth ride, so I dont feel every imperfection in the road, but still be able to take a load in the back and tow things.

Please let me know if these are junk.
