Rear crossmember bracket cut for 6" lift????

As everyone probably already knows I have the 6" procomp lift which required me to cut the mount for the rear crossmember in order to drop the front differential. Eventually I may go with the Rize. Does it also require it to be cut or would I have to get the braket welded back on? Just asking for future reference, not doing anythime soon.

This is the diagrams one that shows you do have to cut it.

I was assuming that with any lift you would otherwise you couldn't drop your diff. low enough. Some lift kits advertise that you can put the truck back to stock if you want. I'm not sure if I'd trust welding that bracket back on.

Rize also requires a cut.

the piece you cut off is no big deal, its just a small piece. any competent shop can put your truck back to stock. i have seen trucks for sale with no crossmember in that spot, someone stripped the lift off and never put it back in. IMO, it's nothing to worry about.

If it's welded back right shouldn't be any problem.
