96 f150 hubs

96 f150 hubs

can any one tell me how to remove the first cap off the hubs on a 96 f150 4x4 with auto locking hubs

Remove the allen head screws...pretty straight forward. There are either 3 or 5 of them, cant remember which.

hubs

i got the crome cap off its the next cap that i cant get off,the one that is over the locking washer.i dont see any locking o rings.

This is a write-up for converting from stock auto hubs to Warn manauls. Even if you don't convert the process is the same for removing the autos.

hubs

thanks for that info, my problem is after the main cap i have a cover over the hub that i can not get off, and its not in the pic you sent,the cover is about 3" and it looks like it is supposed to twist off, and there is no locking o rings thanks

Can you get a pic? And do you have the 3 screw or the 5 screw auto hubs?

its a 3screw hub cover,and i am going to try to put up some pic later to day thanks
