1991 f150 lift help
hello all, Im a proud owner of a 1991 f150 xlt lariat, i love the thing to death but as i am not a mechanic wanted to ask for some help. Since its 16yrs old i think the front coil springs might be getting a little tired, so i went to nappa and found a replacement couple for $85(good deal right). Well i wanted to know how much replacing the factory springs would give me in terms of lift, or what else i could buy to get my front end up a little bit so it wont look like a wedge of cheese.
its a 2wd, i-6,e4od, w.air conditioning,reg cab., short box,(if all that matters)
Thank you my fellow f150 lovers!

I noticed my front end was sagging to the point of wearing the tires a bit on the insides. Also, being a 4WD, it no longer sat level.
Looked at the mickey-mouse coil spacers, but I figured that by the time I put enough in to get the nose back up, there wouldn't be any 'spring' left, and that the cost of the spacers would be right at or slightly more than new springs.
Replaced the springs with their stock equivalents, they put everything right back where it should be - gained about 1.5" in height over the old, tired springs. Used a coil spring compressor, and the hardest part of the job was jacking the truck up and pulling the wheel. Had the whole job done in less than an hour-and-a-half - and I'm not all that quick.
