New From Magnum & JDM

There is a lot of belt tensioners out there that put the tension on the opposite side of the belt because that's all they had room for. But the proper way to tension a belt is on the SLACK side. So Charles from Magnum Powers & I came up with the design and we are testing it with great results. It is currently on Chillfactors Truck Which had belt slip at 18 pounds of boost and now it does not. We are seeing just over a pound of increase and longer belt-life since there is no more slippage. This cross brace will work on all the blowers out there. Prices will be available in approx. 5 days. Here are some pictures.

Look at what the pulley is attached to. It looks like a completely new idler pulley brace ( the piece that's in front of the alternator and is attached to the timing cover ).

I could be high though

Re: New From Magnum & JDM

Looks like a neat part. Is it a true "tensioner" though (with a hidden spring, for example), or just an idler?

But the proper way to tension a belt is on the drive side just the factory does.
Also, isn't that the slack side, not the "drive side?"

Exactly how much tension does that add to the pulley system?

This unit adds more belt wrap and does not allow the belt to climb off the backside of the pulley, the idler is also adjustable.

I understand what a tensioner is, my question is specific. How much tension, in #'s, does this add over the stock tensioner?

also, I would like it if the upper was either chrome of silver... any chance of that? What ball park price are we looking at and will there be a group buy option to kick it off?
