we burned an old house last weekend at the farm to make room for our new hunting cabin that we are building. I thought I would share some pics of the burn.

You know you live in the sticks if you can burn your own house down, and no sirens can be heard. Must have been fun to watch...

I don't know when the house was built. I would have to ask my mom since it was my grandpa's farm. The powerline is inactive, but that is the reason for burning the house. We are going to reactive it and build in the same place. The whole burn only took about 30 minutes once it got going.

Sorry, no "Burning Down the House". I did have some Taylor Swift playing on the way out to the burn. LOL

Interesting. Say you find any cool old stuff? I always find it interesting to dig around in old houses to find old letters, pictures, and general old junk. There was always old places around that nobody gives a hoot about.

 

I was kinda thinking the same thing. I got a metal detector.... What state are you in?

 

Missouri. I found the old doorknob off the front door a few years back. And last week coyote hunting I found an old glass bottle that had an interesting shape.
