Tire Size
EDIT: please ignore... I'm guessing I should look under the "Tires Wheels" forum.
Hey fellas,
I have a '02 F150 7700 w/ 245/75R16's on it. What is the max tire size I can fit? I don't want to put a lift kit on the truck, just want to give a bit more height and fill up the wheel wells.
Please drop me some knowledge!
Thanks,
J.

With 127k, I'd probably change the diff fluids and do a full tranny drain/fill on it. An 01 should have a torque converter drain plug so you don't have to use a flush machine. Tranny takes Mercon V, rear diff takes 75W140 full synthetic and 8 oz (2 bottles) of friction modifier, and the front diff takes 75W90, regular or synthetic.

Yeah, I think I'll get on that pronto, say, do you know what the maintenance schedule is for this truck for ransmission? The last time the tranny was serviced was like 60K according to the carfax. I need to get it done right off, but just didnt know what the reccomended schedule was. I am going to get a manual here pretty quick. EJ

Yeah, I called in and they said that it would be about 200 bucks for the local ford dealer to use the "flush machine". He said with this machine there is no need to change the filter because it cleans the filter in the process. Sounds like garbage but I am used to doing my own transmission fluid on my other cars. IS that flush thing OK? I saw somewhere where a fellow saud to drain the torque convertor as well whilst changing tranny fluid, I havent ever done this but I am not a mechanic either. Is draining the fluid good enough? Or does this need to be done? The fluid in the torque convertor is the same as the tranny if I understand things properly.
