Where can I rent the Ford Flex?

I tried looking at Hertz, Avis and so on. I can't find anyone that rents them. Has anyone ever rented one? I am actually looking to buy one but I want to test it out on my Florida vacation 1st.

Do a 24hour road test at a local dealer.

I rent way more cars than the average bear and can honestly say that I have never seen one available at one of the "majors" -- in the past year I've had Edges, Fusions, Five Hundreds, Focus, Monarchs, Mustangs, Explorers, Escapes, Taurus and Taurus X's, but never a Flex......

Try these sites.

https://www.fleet.ford.com/rentacar/Rental_Flex.asp

http://www.dollar.com/?GCID=S17418x0...tal|3365319070

Dollar does not list it by name, but I found other sites mentioning Dollar and the Flex.

I test drove one before while nabbing some parts at my local Ford dealer.

It was alright... nothing overly special.

Didn't particularly care for the automatic... wish it would've been stick.

When was the last time you saw a stick shift in a crossover/SUV/minivan?

My buddy has a '96 Exploder 5 speed stick... back when SUVs were trucks in disguise...

But I think the last time they made a Exploder 5 speed manual was in '02...

Thanks for the reply guys. I actually just took one for a test drive. Very nice. I might not need a rental. I might pull the trigger and buy it

Id wait for a ecoboost before I drove a flex. They are nice looking, but until that powertrain is under the hood, I will wait.

Me, personally... I'd got with the Mazda CX-7 before going with the Flex or the Edge... why? It's already got eco-boost...

I should have qualified my statement with "an Crossover/SUV/minivan that isn't based off a Dodge Neon". Those Vue's are horrible! I had one as a rental and I wanted to open the door to to push with my feet to make it go faster.
