My truck's rail journey is complete - the railcar was "constructively placed" (according to Norfolk Southern) in the Toronto Yard just after 3pm today. The ETA of March 5 must either be very conservative, or it is going to take the truck 7 days to make a 1-hour drive. Fingers crossed for a speedy loading onto the car hauler!

Yay! Mine is doing what yours did now, it was built a week ago but seems to be sitting waiting to be loaded onto the train. Don't forget to post some pics! I wonder if it was a Norfolk engine that pulled it the whole way or if a CN engine did some work too.

There will be plenty of pictures when my truck gets here! Don't fret about the delay, seems normal that some trucks spend time in the lot waiting for a shipment to the right area.

Norfolk Southern's tracking listed an "interchange" at Chicago. It could very well have been CN power from that point on, although I see CN trains here all the time with locomotives from BNSF, Santa Fe etc.

The railcar is "Bad Ordered" in the Toronto Yard, which from a quick search seems like an issue with the rolling stock, not the shipment (I sure hope so anyway). I really hope they have no issues unloading the vehicles first and addressing the failed railcar inspection second.

Just what I expected. Get on that, CN! I wonder what would hold it up in the yard. Better just be a faulty door or something.

Tormacyar = Toronto MacMillan Yard (largest rail yard in Canada)

No, I'm just OCD and looked up the different yards in the Toronto area. I recognized the names in the abbreviations your tracking information provides. That list that acanaman posted is a good reference!.
