Starting problem

I have a 99 4.6 F150. Just got back from towing the Bass bote and I ran the A/C cuz it is hot out here 100+. When I noticed I didnt back it in far enuf I tried to restart. No luck.. I let it cool down 1 1/2hrs and it started up. Is this common in hot climates?...
Thanks in advance..

Sometimes starters will do this before they don't want to do it ever again. I wouldn't plan any road trips.

It cranked,

Just would not fire. Kinda like vapor lock on carbs. I was surprised that FI could possibly be affected by heat..Thanks

Seen this one before. Fuel can boil in the fuel rail from engine heat, cause an air lock. Don't ask me why it goes away when it cools off, though.
