Yes it it a sharp looking truck KMAC just never noticed it haha I got some pocket flares friday off craigslist for cheap. Gonna paint them beige to match my trim. With those I don't feel as upset when I couldn't get those nfabs you showed me.

I like the switches too, how did you do your wiring for it?

Switch Pictures aren't the best, but they will do for now. Orange is when the lights are on and green is tied into the dash lights and is dimmable.

For those wanting additional pictures of the reverse lights. No night pictures as it has been raining every night. I mounted them on a piece of aluminum angle with a bitmaustic coating on the back side and then painted them black. The angle was mounted a 1/4" lower than the rear bumper. The light output is unreal for $36 and to prove the point I bought a second pair to have on hand.

I love the term "fauxfour" thanks!

Thanks, Curtis! On their site right now. Do you have one panel with 3 switches, and then 3 separate rocker covers? I love the panel that's all one piece.

Ordered the under bumper LED backup lights. Need to order the sway bar end links. I am getting a clunk that I very much suspect is those links...

I am wondering though, is having the LED lights in the rear switched by anything other than the reverse switch legal? I would think you would want to tap into the reverse light circuit for these...

Lakemarykid,

Thanks for the photos! You gave me enough of an idea on how to do this that I can take it from here...

Not sure what you do for a living, but I would suspect that you got access to the bitumastic coating at work, not something commonly available to your average DIY'er...

I have aluminum L stock in the shop right now so that's no big thing. Just need to get the clean cuts, clean holes, deburr the "brackets" and then plastidip them to insure they have a protective coating, and they don't stand out too much...

Of course I need to crawl under mine to double, and triple verify that the hitch won't interfere, chances are I need to design and fab up my own brackets to get this working...

Hopefully this gives me the results I am looking for. I need lots of light out back, but really don't want to hang big lights back there...

Project Engineer in Water and Wastewater Construction so bitumastic is always available and in this case the angle came precoated for mounting on concrete.

The main reason I went with the aluminum was corrosion resistant and it was available. Also SST hardware with lock nuts.

I can guarantee you will be more than pleased with the light output from these little lights. For perspective, when I back out of the garage my neighbor's house that is roughly 150 ft away is lit up. I'll try for night pictures tonight.

Yep, have the stainless steel bolts, washers, and nylon insert stop nuts in my parts bins... I agree, corrosion resistance is key.

I'm gonna PTM the grille saturday and I'll post that. The flares I bought because they were $150 new and since then I've been looking around at I might wait. The reason being I have the 265/70/17 on my Raptors and putting the flares on now with the +34 and Rancho quicklifts I feel like it would look bad. I was thinking of some 285/70/17 Duratracs so I could keep my Raptors and then put them on. Also looked at some dirt logic 0-3" shocks to raise it some more but the 4 shocks are $1700! So I'm not sure what to do. I may put them on craigslist and see if anyone wants them or I'll just hang on to them for awhile until I get new tires or a lift.

Whew! Good call! I wasn't gonna say anything, but I really don't like big fender flares on stock height trucks haha.

I had them on my old TRD tacoma, they also came on it though. Was always having to put "back to black" on them because they would fade in the sun. I like the look of the stock flares on the lariats and fx4 packages.

XMSN pan drop fluid & filter change. Found the source of an odd rattle over the past month... filter had fallen out and was in the pan! Filter was installed about a year and a half ago.
