Loving my new inTech trailer

Received my new trailer and have to say I love the workmanship. My 15 Platinum does a fantastic job pulling the trailer. The trailer is 26' long and weighs 5740 lbs. With the UTV and all tanks full it's just under 8000 lbs. My truck has the ecoBoost and 3.55 rearend. I also have the max tow package.

Super nice set up.

Does the pickup feel at all twitchy with the shorter wheelbase pulling the 8000#?

I pull an enclosed sled trailer in the winter with mine and am happy I have the long bed for the added wheelbase.

I am extremely happy how the truck does pulling the trailer. Not twitchy at all. I have an equalizer hitch installed and this makes a huge difference how every thing works together. Getting the hitch set up right is so very important. When we set mine up we have the trailers tanks full and my generator inside and UTV loaded. When the trailer is empty it does not pull as well because the front of the trailer sits higher then when loaded. Nothing bad but I can tell the difference pulling a loaded trailer and an empty trailer.

Just out of curiosity... how much did that trailer cost?

Looks really nice though.

Sweet set up. Does everything it needs to do. Wish I had something like that back when I use to ATV a lot.

What did that trailer run in cost?

The trailer cost $39,000. I looked at everything on the market. I didn't like how heavy the toy haulers were and I only had 26' to work with. The actual trailer is 22' and the tongue is 4'. The other big selling point for me was I got to design the trailer the way I wanted it. The wife got to pick out all the colors. Like I said before the workmanship on the trailer is as good as it gets.

Not really sure the extra 11 inches of wheelbase will matter much when towing. My 2005 truck was 146" wheelbase and the 2015 is 157" and as far was tracking on the highway, I don't notice any difference.

Don't get me wrong, I love the extra foot of space in the bed, that's why I waited to get this one. I honestly wished Ford built a SuperCrew with an 8' bed, I would be all over that!
