Exactly why I haven't taken mine in yet. I suspect the actuators are not strong enough, and perhaps the aluminum being a better thermal conductor allows them to freeze.

Recalls:

Recall Number: 15V279000
Recall Date: 05/12/2015
RCONL-15V279-7467.pdf
Component: STEERING
Problem Summary: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2015 Ford F-150 trucks manufactured March 19, 2015, to March 30, 2015. The affected vehicles may have been built with a steering upper intermediate shaft that was improperly riveted.
Consequence: If the intermediate shaft was improperly riveted, it could separate from the intermediate shaft flex coupling, resulting in a loss of steering control and increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
What Owners Should Do: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the intermediate shaft and replace it, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on May 22, 2015. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 15S17.

Recall Number: 15V251000

RCONL-15V251-7642.pdf
Component: STRUCTURE: FRAME AND MEMBERS:UNDERBODY SHIELDS
Problem Summary: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2015 Ford F-150 vehicles manufactured January 30, 2015, to January 31, 2015. The affected vehicles may have loose or missing underbody heat shields.
Consequence: A missing under body heat shield can lead to degradation or melting of the fuel or vapor lines, increasing the risk of a fire.
What Owners Should Do: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicle for missing underbody heat shields and fasteners, and will install the missing components as required, free of charge. The recall began on May 13, 2015. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 15S12.

Recall Number: TBD
Recall Date: 9/30/2015
Component Adaptive Cruise Control for Ford F-150
Ford is recalling some 37,000 2015 Ford F-150 pickup trucks for a potential issue with the adaptive cruise control. The company said that when passing "a large, heavily reflective truck," the radar in the adaptive cruise could incorrectly identify the truck as being in the F-150's lane of travel. The F-150 could then automatically apply the brakes until the adaptive cruise system no longer believes this to be the case. Ford said it received a report of one accident related to this issue. No injuries were reported. The recall affects certain 2015 Ford F-150 vehicles built at Dearborn Truck Plant, March 18, 2014 through Aug. 5, 2015, and at Kansas City Assembly Plant, Aug. 11, 2014 through Aug. 6, 2015. It includes 36,857 trucks in North America; including 33,481 in the U.S. Dealers will update the adaptive cruise software at no cost. Ford's number for this recall is 15S29.

I'm having the same issue. Only minus 11c and passenger locks won't unlock or lock. I don't think they actually locked last night when I parked and used the keyfob. Not sure about anyone else, but when I lock and lights flash, horn beeps.. I presume all doors are locked. Not true now.. passengers doors remained unlocked which meant my truck was vulnerable to thieves. Will have to physically double check them now.. defeats the purpose of remote entry. What's Ford going to do about this? It's also a safety issue for Kids in the back seat if owner doesn't realize this is an issue and thinks the doors are locked when they aren't. FORD needs to fix this ASAP... a recall or something. I will contact the dealer but this is a real pain to have to deal with on a brand new truck. Oh well, could be worse I guess.

Ive had my 2015 crewcab sport in 3 times for service... they say they are waiting for parts now.
rear passenger door will not unlock, open, with either handle or from inside or outside.
rear driver door will not lock..unless you press manual button down to lock it.. then it wont unlock with key fob.
real fun when you have three year old that has to sit in back with car seat...

I came out this morning, it was 3 degrees, and I couldn't get either of my kids in the back doors. I had to have my 6yr old climb through from the front to unlock one. I guess it's time to go to the dealership.

That's a smart next step, Mpkav; be sure to come back and tell us how your appointment goes. I'll be happy to do what I can to assist as well. How many miles are on your truck?

Hi zotman21,

How long have you been waiting on the parts?
Send me a private message with your VIN, odometer reading, full name, phone number, and name of the dealer where the parts are on order. I'll see what I can do to speed up the process.

Thanks!

Mathieu

Frozen Door Latch and Locks

New to the forum and thought I would comment on my experience on freezing weather and my F150 door issues. I have had issues with my driver’s side door not latching once I got in the truck. I’d open the door, get in and go to close it and door would not latch. Door has done this twice now. When this occurred the lock indicator appeared not to be cycling when trying to lock and unlock. (Lucky I have a video of the second occurrence) The first time it occurred it was 27 degrees and the second it was 17 degrees.

I have contacted my dealership and they want me to bring the truck in and drop it off, I’m just trying to align my schedule to take it in.
