I know exactly why he's saying don't buy Buell. Because of reliability issues. Buell's have been widely known for having many problems with reliability.
But, here recently, Buell has made a very solid effort to reduce that problem and from what I read and have been told by others, they have done pretty good at it.

I agree that reliabilty was a problem for Buell before the company came out with the Firebolt, Lightning, and Ulysses. The new ones r perty reliable now. I bought a brand new Buell Firebolt when it came out in 2002 when i got back from the desert i put 4000 in performance work to the engine and i currently have over 14000 miles on it without a lick of trouble.
