But we are not getting gas to the engine. The fuel pump is running and the sending unit is fine what could be the problem?

Have you verified no fuel with a pressure gauge on the test port on the fuel rail? If you have over 28 psi there, the injectors are probably not firing.

Have you verified spark?

As GLC said have you verified pressure on the rail test port?
Are the 2 gas lines to rail connectors actually snapped into place? I had mine apart recently and unless they click into place they may not be connected fully. A quick pull on them will tell.

First of all, I disagree with the title of your post.

Is the fuel pump running while you crank the engine? It will run for a few seconds when you first turn the key on, but will shut off if the PCM doesn't detect the engine spinning.

Like others said, verify you are not getting fuel pressure as opposed to not getting spark. It would also help to know the year and engine of your truck.
