$700 for Line-X !!!
Stopped by my local Line-X dealer (NE Indiana) and was quoted $700 for my F-150 SC King Ranch. The price included color matching, but it still seems expensive.
Anyone else seeing prices this high?

I was at the same 475 range but it seems to me to color match was another $200 so that may not be outrageous.
My dealer told me it will fade regardless of what LineX says. He said some colors hold up better than others but that he would recommend black. I wanted to color match but I stayed with the black.

There are some LINE-X dealers, like myself, who know how to spray a color match that absolutely won't fade, but not all LINE-X dealer know how to do it. We use Dupont Ful-Thane Nason paint which is a glossy urethane based automotive paint. So, it won't fade any faster than your truck's paint. If your considering a color match, be SURE the dealer uses Nason, otherwise, forget it.

Hey TruckGasm,
where are you located? I've been thinking about getting Line-X instead of Rhine, but I don't know of any one here in Amarillo that does Line-X.

TruckGasm,
Thanks for the input and advice. Does $700 seem high to you for a color match?
I got this reponse from a Line-X dealer in my area. They will not perform color match - they may not have heard about the product you mentioned above.
"We do not spray colors for varied reasons. Many companies offer guaranteed spray match but what we(personally) have concluded is that reading between the lines there is NO one company incl. LINE-X that extends the full warranty to cover the color against fading or discoloring. The pigments used are not UV resistant so at some point that color will be affected."

For my 6.5 foot bed it was $410, under the rail. If I wanted over the rail, it was like $50 more. Asked about the color and was quoted $125, additional. That seemed fair to me, but just got the basic $410 job and been really pleased with it. I have looked at both and my opinion is that the Line-X was superior. Just my observations for you. In fact, the dealer should have a vehicle there for you to inspect before you decide. Take a look at both and get the information about both, then decide which one is better for your truck. Happy hunting.
Yea, I'd say the LINE-X dealer you called does not use Nason. We charge an additional $175 for a color match.
I'm not sure if I can post prices. So, moderator, feel free to edit:
For a black liner:
Compact bed (under 6 ft) $379
Short bed (6 ft) $419
Add $60 for over the rails
Long bed (over 6 ft) $439
Add $75 for over the rails
