Driving in town I suddenly realized that my 2010/4.6-3V brake pedal had become hard to press. I discovered that the line from the brake vacuum cylinder was broken there's a bolt in it now which cured the pedal problem.
But I have looked thoroughly for the other end and cannot find the piece that broke off.

I noticed that my 2010 brake pedal was almost impossible to press but shortly found a broken vacuum line from the vacuum canister on the master cylinder. Perfect fit for a 14-20 bolt and it works fine. But after a thorough search I cannot find the other end of the line or pics or schematics of where the line terminated. I finally decided that something yanked the line off and it's out on the roadway. The check engine light is still on so it must be something
Any idea where that line used to go?

Just driving in the city, I suddenly noticed that my brake pedal had gotten hard to press and that I wasn't slowing down very fast! Got out this morning and looked first thing at the vacuum canister on the master cylinder and sure 'nuff there was a vacuum line completely gone. I mean the rubber tubing had been ripper apart the stump was a jagged end clearly not cut. You can see that there was barely enough left to put in a 1/4-20 bolt just a few threads which cleared up the problem.
