This what "cupholder" meant before Detroit started considering them as part of their overall product design......lol

Tired of the "mouse gray" interiors in modern cars? Just take a trip back to the early 1960's.....lol

This was one ended up being my "People's Choice" vote for the best car at the show -- an unbelievably clean '68 Impala. I personally prefer the coupe body style over the fastback models!

A stunningly clean '68 Impala that I considered as a possibility for my "People's Choice" vote.

While I'm not a huge fan of the '66 body style, I think this guy absolutely NAILED the stance of his car! I'd be proud to be seen driving this one around town on a Saturday night!

This gorgeous '65 Impala made me wish vinyl tops were still offered on new cars!

As expected, there were an overwhelming number of '64's on hand for the show -- this one was probably my favorite!

This '63 BelAir was probably the most heavily modified car at the show -- I prefer bone-stock vehicles, but this guy did a really nice job with his ride!

An original owner, factory 409 and 4-speed '63 Impala SS that went from rust bucket to show car over the past 6 years.

This red '62 Impala SS was a trailer queen that just had its frame-off restoration completed. I loved the red paint against the black vinyl interior, but hated the fact that it started hard and ran poorly when the guy fired it up to head home!

This gold '62 Impala was breathtakingly clean inside and out!

There was a nice trifecta of '62 Impalas at the show -- this first one looked great with the black paint against a red vinyl interior!

This '61 Impala looked awesome in it's lovely period-correct hue -- why were automotive color selections so much better back in the '60's than they are today?

I will always have a soft-spot in my heart for bare-bones "stripper" models like this unbelievably clean '60 Biscayne!

The full-size '60 Chevrolet's might be one of the few cars that I actually prefer as a 4-door versus a 2-door.

There were only two wagons at the show -- this '58 was spotless and I can honestly say that it was the first time I can ever recall ever seeing a station wagon from this model year in person before!
