Blanca Peak (14,345 ft.) Kyle, Don, and Me I've tried this one twice and haven't summited yet. This time around, we made it to 13,400ft. Don and Kyle (both from sea level, both smokers) started to weeeeeze!

Mount Elbert (14,433 ft.) The tallest point in Colorado My first summit! Kyle moved to CO for a while and got used to living above 5,000ft...then we did this before he moved back to Indiana.

Mount Cameron (14,238 ft.) Mount Lincoln (14,286 ft.) Mount Bross (14,172 ft.) Hiked in 1 day...in a loop. Usually this loop includes Mt. Democrat but it didn't look that good when we were there. Heather was excited after Kyle and I finished Elbert and she decided she wanted to climb a 14er with me. This was her 1-2-3 climb. My 2-3-4.
Mount Cameron (14,238 ft.) Mount Lincoln (14,286 ft.) Mount Bross (14,172 ft.) Hiked in 1 day...in a loop. Usually this loop includes Mt. Democrat but it didn't look that good when we were there. Grays Peak (14,270 ft.) Heather and I decided to try and get one more climb in before then end of 2009. When we got to the top, clouds were rolling in so we chose not to climb Torreys Peak with this one.

This was my first unsuccessful attempt at reaching the summit of Blanca. Just behind the camera, there is a memorial to someone who died in this spot. I'm pretty sure it was a 4x4 accident.

We didn't get a chance to climb any 14ers this summer. But now that Peyton is in the world, we tried a VERY small hike today to Boulder Falls. Heather was pretty paranoid that I was going to trip. :) Summer of 2011, we're headed for Quandary Peak, Mt. Bierstadt, Handies Peak, Culebra Peak, and Mt. Sherman!
We didn't get a chance to climb any 14ers this summer. But now that Peyton is in the world, we tried a VERY small hike today to Boulder Falls.
