which one to put a plow on

2001 f150 supercrew 4x4, 5.4, rebuilt transmission with heavy duty torque converter and shift kit... vs 1992 f350 dually, 2x4, 7.3 idi, 4.10 posi rear end. will be plowing foreclosed property drive ways, in northern ohio...


what you guys think... obviously i like the 350 but 2x4 vs 4x4 idk

You will kill the F150 doing commercial plowing with it and you will struggle with the F350 if you dont have a ton of weight in the back for traction. I would also be concerned about the weight rating on the front axle on the F350 as it was not designed to carry a plow like a 4x4 is but I have seen it done before but I don't know how they hold up. I also know that you would need at least a 9ft plow on the F350 due to the width of the truck and thats getting up there in weight. My suggestion would be to find a older used plow truck on E-Bay or Craiglist for doing this because you can normally pick up a decent truck with a plow for what you would spend on a new plow and there should be a ton of them up for sale right now. You will be fine with the F-350 with proper weight in the back! My friend has the same set up & does just fine!

I don't think any of the supercrews are rated for a plow
