Hi Tina. The only pics I've seen of the Supercrew are the ones that I found searching thru this site. The one in you post is one of them. Looks like a nice truck! My current truck is a regular cab, and with kid number 2 in the oven, we are fixing to not all fit in my truck. Otherwise, my current truck runs great. It would be kind of inconvenient to only have one vehicle the whole family could fit in (safely). The info I have is the Supercrew will go into production in December and on sale in January. I'm hoping to order one for January delivery. I just hope the dealers don't start trying to charge sticker price, like they've been known to do on new vehicles. I WON'T pay sticker price!

Here is what else I've heard (don't take this as gospel):

-Standard engine will be the 4.6
-Only available as an XLT or Lariat (which doesn't make sense. They will miss some commercial sales)
-Automatic trans is standard (or required)
-Pickup box is 5.5 ft long
-Fuel capacity is 30 gallons (thank goodness. My old truck has 35 and I really didn't like the thought of moving down to 25 gallons like on the current models)

Thats all I know. I would like to know more about the interior, but haven't seen anything else.

Thumbs up

Tenderpaw: My breaks wound up being fine. What I was feeling was just the ABS pulsing. About the SuperCrew, a friend of mine (w/Ford) stated that it's production had been backed up. But to what he didn't say. The picture I found by doing a search of Trucks and finding it at the Internation Show of new vehicals in Detroit. They have 3 very nice pictures of it but they also have some kind of lock on the pic. because I couldn't get an address to be able to post here.

Any one found some brake pads that "run" clean? I have been running raybestos and my wheels are black within a week.
Who has the best rotor price? I know some of you people have replaced the rotors.

Just for kicks my Nissan pickup went 85,000 miles on the original set of pads.
Do you think that the 4wheel disc brakes will have warping problems in the rear?
I think bigger tires put an extra load on the brakes.

Cool

Uknigel. I don't think you're going find brake pads that don't shed dust. You might consider getting some shields that go between the rotor and the rim to keep the dust off your wheels. You might also want to check the rear brakes to make sure they're properly adjusted, if they're not the front brakes will be doing more work than they should be.

I had my front and rear brakes replaced on my F-150 with 70,000 miles on it. They turn the front rotors but not the rear. I noticed a "bounce" after I got it back. I took it back to my mech and he turn the rear rotors. Still had the bounce. It would not bounce if I used my emeg. brake so my mech turn the front rotors again. Still doing the same thing. Now it is back in the shop getting new front rotors and another set of pads. Hopefully this will work!

Okay...Its back from the shop with the new rotors and pads up front and we are still bouncing!! I went and had the tires balanced and rotated. Still bouncing! I get the bounce at around 30-35 mph only when braking. Should I spend another $200 bucks and get new rotors and pads for the back?!
