Help Help Help!!!!! Tire Size Question, F150 4x4

Does anyone know the biggest tires that can be fitted onto a stock height, 1997 4x4 F150 ? I've been told 35's will fit with some trimming since they have extensive clearance. Is this true? Can it be fully steered? Many thanks!!!!!!!!!!

I have 33's (285/75 16) on my 98 but I think if you are just going to drive on the road and didn't mind a little rubbing here and there you might get away with 35's(315/75 16).
If you are going to do any off roading then you will want to stay with 33's.

I have a 98 also with 285's and I don't think you would be able to fit 35's without a lift.... Some people say it's close with a 3in body lift.... I think I would stick with 285 or 305.
