Tire

What is the biggest all terrain tire I can put on my ford 4x4. I have stock 17" wheels and no lift. The stock tires are 265/70/17. I'm wanting to go with a bit larger tire but am not sure what tire would be too big and rub.

Thanks for any advise.

Ron

Here is a good list of options all will fit on stock 17-7.5" rims.

(Goodyear Wrangler AT/S, Wrangler GS-A, Goodyear MTR)
275/70-17 : I have the Wrangler AT/S on my 2000 F150 4x4.

(BFGoodrich MT, BFGoodrich AT or Goodyear MTR)
285/70-17

(Pro-Comp AT, Pro-Comp MT, Goodyear MTR)
305/70-17 : might rub a little about an inch wider same height.
