Tire ideas for SVT rims

I've just ordered a set of SVT Lightning wheels to go on my 97 F150 SC and would like some ideas on the tires that would look the best on these rims and truck. I am currently looking at some Pirelli P-Zeros 285-60-18 and Goodyear Eagles.
Ideas or others suggestions??? Thanks.

I just bought a set of Nitto 404 and love em. Agressive tread design but with good tread wear rating. They are 285/50/18 with a tread wear of 420. I bought them local and paid a little more but is was worth it to deal with a local dealer. Paid $700 including mount, balance and tax. I put all the wheel weights on the inside of the rim for a cleaner look. Had 2 that balanced with 1/2 oz, one balanced with 3/4 oz and one that balanced at "0".

Thanks for the reply.... looks like I may go with Bridgestone. I was leaning toward Pirelli but several sites have great /much better reviews of the Bridgestones. Those 50 series tires look good on a lowered truck but I think I will go with the 60 series for a little larger look.

Bridgestone would have been my second choice. If your truck is not lowered you may want a taller tire. Keep in mind that the SVT rim is 9.5 wide so check recommended rim with for the tire you choose. Good Luck

The Bridgestone I'm considering is the Dueler HP 285/60/18. Great reviews.

Falkens !!!

Do a search and check out what people have to say about their Falkens ST/Z-01's. When I was looking for tires for my 2000 Lightning wheels and I couldn't find anyone who had anything other than positive to say about their tires. I ordered my ST/Z-04 from http://www.discounttiredirect.com and got free shipping and they arrived in two days. Plus no sales tax since they were shipped from Arizona. Had them on for about 2 months now and love them. They look great, handle fantastic. I got 285-60-18's for my lightning wheels.

Thanks... and I will check out the Falkens. Several years ago I purchased a set of Goodyears from Discount Tires in Dallas and on my way through Dallas on a trip, I went by and picked them up. Great dealer and good pricing too!

Michelin LTX

I'm running 285/60/18's on my SVT's. Handle great, balanced up perfectly on a GSP9700, and look good. Tread wear has been fantastic, too.

I had Michelin Pilots 285/60/18 on SVT wheels. Great combo and tire were quiet and smooth. I use mine on the highway and not offroad so I wanted a quiet smooth tire.
I'm curious to know why you bought replica SVT wheels instead of the real SVT's. When I bought mine the real SVT's were cheaper than the replicas.

Get the F1's. The grip is outstanding and makes the truck very fun to drive. The main drawback however, is the lack of longevity.
