I thought I would share this with you all. I am still in search of tires, but also decently priced tires.

This site 1010tires.com there prices are pretty dang good. They have BFG T/A KO tires in 265/70R17 for $143.99. That is the cheapest I have seen those tires. They are almost $20 cheaper than SAMS Club, and almost $30 cheaper than tirerack.com.

They also have the Michelin LTX M/S for 132.99. They to are cheaper than SAMS Club.

The only thing though, is you have to figure out what the shipping and then the installation, balancing etc would cost you after you were all said and done.

But I thought I would share this with you all.

 

I bought 5 Michelin LTX A/T's in LT265/75R16 from 1010tires.com back in MAY. After delivery, duty fee, mounting, balancing, stems, and state tax ... I saved $12/tire over Sams Club, and over $20/tire over the other online tire places, $30+ locally.

I recommend 1010 tires to everyone, and will go back for my next set of tires.

 

Don't forget to check out www.discounttiredirect.com. They offer a good selection and have very good prices. Plus, free shipping.
And no sales tax in most cases.

I have decided to buy my new tires from 1010tires as well. Never heard of them until I started scanning this site...sounds like they have excellent prices on all tires.

 

I only checked my size, 275/60/17, but victoriatire.com had much better prices. Yokohama's were $166@ 1010 and $121 @ victoria. Toyo's $173/$128. Bridgestone $170/$150. I'm going to buy the Falken STZ 01 from them @ $106.

1010 does have excellent prices, but I decided to go with a locally owned tire shop, even though it cost more.

Many local guys will lower their retail prices if they know it's the only way to get your business, but with all the local and state taxes they pay, they aren't going to beat 1010.

While 1010 can save you money, there are a couple of good reasons to buy local:

1) Supports a business in your community.
2) Convenience - call on Monday afternoon, tires ready to install by Tuesday morning.
3) Warranty service - if I have a problem, my local guy will take care of me if he wants my future business.

Were those items worth $20 - $25 per tire? Tough call, but for me they were (this time).

 

Hey for all of you that have bought tires form 1010tires, about how long did it take for them to be shipped to your house? It is getting down to crunch time for me, and I need a set of tires before the 21st.

 

The 1010tires.com is in British Columbia Canada, and they ship UPS ground, so it depends where you live. You could go to UPS's web site and get a "days" to delivery quote.
