2x4 01 Screw with 17s - tire sizes?

I hate to start a new thread just for this but....
Seems like lots of folks with 01 2x4 screws got 16 inch wheels. Mine came with 17s and the 265x60 BFG Long Trails. OF COURSE I want taller tires, hey it's America !!
The truck has 4 wheel disc brakes and with the large brake rotors I don't believe 16 inch wheels would fit.
The dealer and some major tire places in town suggest I stay with stock size tires but I suspect they just have liability issues on their minds.
I don't want to lift the truck for several years although I know that would take care of the issue.
Any comments would be GREATLY appreciated as I intend to replace rubber before the winter and I can't find this particular issue addressed online anywhere. THANKS FOLKS !!!

The Lightning comes with the larger Superduty F250 calipers and rotors, and many owners use 16" wheels with snow tires. I don't know which calipers the SCrew uses, but I'll bet they aren't larger than the L's. I can't see why the SCrew couldn't use the same wheels as all the other F-150/Expys/Navis.
