Most miles on Wrangler AP
I know the Stock Wrangler AP tires that came on these trucks are crappy but, there has to be other tightwads out there like me who aren't going to throw out tires with tread still on them.
Mine just passed state inspection with 50k. Next years should put me at about 65k. Will I have new tires by then?
Anyone over 65K on these tires?
(I mean anyone that has to pass an inspection)

I went to about 43,000 on mine before I replaced them they could have made it 50,000 easy but when winter was coming on I decided to get a new set back in December and wouldn't you know it we would have a very mild winter less rain this past winter than normal and only about 2 inches of snow and the roads never got snow covered should have saved my money until this spring
I have a 97 f150 it had the stock goodyear rts's on it for 86K mi. and they still had enought tread to make it to 100K I was so sick of there crappy tires I finaly broke down and got some good BFG M/T's the truck looks so much better with the bfg's on I dont know why I waited so long to replace them I just couldent seem to where out the goodyears or should I say crapyears
When I traded my 97 5.4 SC off at 43,000 miles, the AP's had more than 50% tread remaining.
I'm now at 35,000 miles on the Y2K's RT/S -- and they're going strong (were about half worn when I last stuck a depth gage in).
Despite all the whining I read about how crappy they are on other trucks, mine stick like glue -- and are wonderful in the Michigan winters. In fact, I cannot break the tires loose from a stab at the traffic light -- and can only break them loose by way of break-torquing on some road surfaces. I have noticed that there are more than one tread pattern for that RT/S tire -- which may explain the rants/raves.
My only complaint is that they're NOISY (ARRrrrgh!) -- and may end up being winter-only tires soon.
I'm looking for suggestions for LT245/75R16-sized tires that are QUIET and long-lasting.

I ditched mine at 48k and might have got 55k off them but they had no rain or snow traction. I went with Bridgestone Dueler H/L's. Love these tires! Great looks and wet traction. They seem to be wearing well and are as smooth as the stock A/P's.

56k and will probably make 65k. but i wish i could afford twenties. goodyears are like being on ice when it does get a little wet on the road, but out here it doesn't rain much, so just go straight through any puddles, already lost it doing about sixty through a wet part in the road, that will get your heart pumping!
