Brake Job or Snow Job?

First time Ford owner who just got his first dose
of service shock. Does $525 to replace front brakes and repack bearings seem excessive to anyone besides me? I have a 98 F150 Extended Cab with 54K miles.

That sounds about right. It's good motivation for you to learn how to install brakes yourself!

Sounds like a wallet raping to me? Were parts replaced besides the pads?

No because they tipped their hat and showed their incompetence by screwing up my door lock repair.(See post under electrical). So I did not give them the chance to hose me twice.

Sgt_Zeke-

OK, pads, resurfacing rotors, packing bearings, and not replacing anything on the 2)fronts for that price is a rip.

While I was having my AC serviced, my shop noticed that my pads are getting a little thin and quoted $170 to do mine on my '00 Expy, but I'm going to do it myself for less than $50 this weekend...it's so easy.
