33"x12.5"-15" what size wheels?
I want to put some 33x12.5-15 tires on and want to know the min & max width rim I can use and what offset if any. I currently have 31x10.5-15. I'm not sure what width or offset the wheels are now but they don't rub or anything. I'm not worried about clearance just what best fits, tire to rim.
I think almost all tire manufacturers recommend an 8 thru 10 inch rim width for 33x12.50-15s. It just depends on what you like the best. 10s will make the tires look wider but will increase you chances of rubbing.
Thanks wandell
I'm not terribly concerned how they look but I just want to avoid any wear, safety or perfomance issues because I chose the wrong wheel-tire combo. Besides, narrower rims tend to be a little cheaper. If my existing wheels are good Then I won't have to buy wheels right away. I will eventually though because the ones I have now are a little ugly (ho-hum style and some rust).
I'm sure the shop I go to installed them would warn me of any problem, but I'd rather know before I spend the better part of a grand on a set.
