Shipping 35s

Hey there! I am looking to ship a set of 35s up to Portland, OR from Anaheim, Ca. Right now I am looking at around $200 bucks through UPS. I was hoping to find something a little less steap. Any ideas?

Thanks,
CJ

Not an answer to your question, but I only spent around $200 in gas to drive my F150 from Tacoma, WA to Disneyland AND back. That included driving around for a week in LA too........

Don't know what tires you are looking at, but I'd see if I could find some locally. I don't really know how the other mail order places ship their tires, but that seems pretty high. Kinda defeats the whole purpose of buying the tires for a "better" price through them in the first place.

Fedex ground is cheaper to ship.

Check a local freight company

Shipping by truck is the easiest and cheapest. I just shipped a set of mounted 33's from Houston, TX to Cleveland, OH for under $70. UPS wanted that per tire. I used Yellow Freight, shipping from my point of business (we use Yellow Freight regularly, so we do get a reduced rate, but I wouldn't expect more than $100 for an individual). Good luck.

Well so far Fed-ex is the cheapest for around $150. Any other ideas? Ups, Roadway, and Yellow are both up around $200+.
