Cross drilled VS. Slotted rotors?

Anyone have any input. I hear that cross drilled rotors have a tendancy to crack? The only warranty I have seen on these are 2 weeks or 500 miles? Slotted ane a little cheaper but you don't hear much on them. Anybody have these? Any input is great, thanks.

both slotted and drilled rotors can crack.

Basically beyond lighter weight, they do nothing for you. the rotors are already vented in the fronts. They may help the solid rear rotor though.

both rotors help under HARD braking by allowing the gasses formimg under the pad to escape. from what i understand, CD rotors are better for high speed braking bc of the added cooling while slotted are better for lower speeds bc of the additional contact area.

what really matters is that CD look cool.

While gassing of pads was a problem in the 70s, we are now past the 90s and into the new milenium.

pads dont gas or enough to warrant drilling the rotors any more. Time to learn new technology here boys. manufacturers like Ferrari and Porsche do it to reduce unsprung mass on the 13-15" rotors.
