Saw some Pro Comp Xterrains today and they looked pretty good. I was afraid that they were M/T Claw clones but they had a really different design to the tread. Was just wondering if anyone was running this tire and what their impressions were? Ride noise, performance, etc. Thanks.

im running the x terrains right now! i just got a 6'' superlift on my supercab shortbed and got 35/75/16 x-terrains on weld typhoons! the tires are great they're a pretty good mud terrain radial tire. From far they look like baj claws but are different tread. they ride good on road and haven't really taken them off road yet but they're not too noisy i can bearly hear them over my music and exhaust and can feel a little vibration from the tires! but they're a pretty good tire!

 

All right thanks for the reply. I was begining to think that the tires were too new for anyone to have any. Yeah I was really suprised on how much they looked like some kind of a directional all terrain tire combo. Pretty cool. You said that you felt some vibration from the tire while driving or did you mean that there was very little? Anyway thanks for the feedback.

 

yeah, they're pretty compound like a radial tire for a maud terrain compared to other mud terrains but it's got a pretty good grip on it! Yeah, the tires vibrate a little bit but they're pretty quiet but if you turn the radio down you can hear yourself cruisin down the road!

 

They look to be some kick *** tires. If they made a 31x10.50 they'd be going on my S-10. Same thing for the Dirt Grips But I'm going to put 31x10.50 SSRs and they should last a while on that little truck

 

yeah the tires are pretty sweet, pro comp makes an x-terrain in size 31x12.5 for $171 but i don't know if thats too wide for an s-10 but i heard that the SSR swampers will last about 30k miles thats pretty long for swampers!

 

I Just go the 305/70R16 Xterrains. They ride great, the vibration is only at around 15 mph for me, more or less than that and they ride and sound just like an AT. I'm thinking the vibration is something of the directional tire design, not anything bad. You have to remember, a 33x12.5 of any kind will be louder than stock 31's. Thanks you guys on the tire info! The pictures of the tires are great. I know its really early but let me know how they wear. I couldn't get any info on life expectancy and was curious how they will hold up.

 

dont forget - the x-terrains have a full lug sipe for better handling in the rain, the MT baja's dont have sipeing.
