I just mounted 36/12.5r16.5 super swamper tsl's and was wondering what would be the best tire psi?

Depends on what terrain you are running. On road I normally go with the suggested which usually does pretty good. It is printed on the sidewalls.
Off road i vary it, in muddy conditions ill let them down just a bit. In slow rocky comditions I will let them down a lot. But make sure you have the means to air them back up before getting off the trail and going home.
