Question 17" rim and tires

I'm not really interested in dropping any more money on rims. I can't find any good tires for the 17" rims though. I am looking at any Mud tires that will fit. I want a tire no smaller than a 265(31") and no bigger than a 305 or 33's. If you guys could give me any suggestions I would appreciate it. thanks

Do a search here for Procomp tire's. They make a 33/12.5/17 in an All Terrain & Mud Terrain. BF Goodrich also make's a 285/70/17 in an Mud terrain. I have never used Procomp tire's myself. I have alway's had the BFG's,but have heard alot of good thing's on Procomp's here on the board's.
Later...Mike

I was just gonna say "no good tires out there for the 17" rims?" Pro-comps man! I've got teh 33" pro-comps on my 17"s right now... going to be mounting some 35" pro-comps on some lincoln navigator 17" rims when I lift it.

I was thinking about getting a set of pro-comps, but I am concerned about availability.... I would have to order them since no one carries them locally...and if I had to replace a badly damaged one, it would suck to have to have one shipped and wait on it!

33" pro comps

matt,
Have you had any problems with your 33's rubbing?
I am very interested in buying some and went to 4wheel parts and the guy said that I would definitely have some rubbing when turning on uneven ground without a lift. He said there would, of course, be no problems on normal roads.
I have a 2001 supercrew 4x4 ORP with stock goodyear rts 17's.
I'm think I'm either getting the 33 pro comps or the same as stock size BFG all terrains.
The 4 for the price of 3 deal is really tempting at 4wheel parts.

Thanks for your input.

CPTX, if theres one thing I've learned is that 4-wheel parts is quite often wrong when it comes to tire fitment questions . I've used mine on-road, off-road etc. and they've never rubbed once. They also told me 35"s wouldn't fit with a 4" lift but I've been told otherwise by many many people so I'm going to do it anyways.
