Cleaning aluminum rims

I have a set of Weld Scorpio 16 X 8's new a couple of years ago.

I've neglected them and now they are covered in road grime (salt, tar, dirt, etc...). I can get them fairly clean using stuff like nev r dull. But they still have splotches on them, like dish spots on glasses out of a crappy dishwasher. No matter how much I polish them, the spots remain.

Does anybody have a solution or do I just dip 'em in chrome?

Thanks

style

get some mothers mag & aluminum polish.. unless it's stained the alloy or screwed up the finish, it'll work.

usually it has to be pretty bad for that. My ranger's rims were scared, but the finish was actually coming off... that's when you know when the rim is screwed :P
