Question Replacing front pads?

My wife and i just picked up our Expedition last night,it`s a 1997 XLT with 65K.While cruising around town showing off our new ride i noticed that the front brakes started squealing.I have never worked on a vehicle this new but i do all my work on my other cars.Could someone please let me know what kind off tools and parts i need?Is there anything special i need to know when replacing the pads?
Sorry So Long/Thanks!
God Bless!

nothing special. Get a haynes or chilton manual. It will give you step by step on all the maintenance of the truck and even rebuilding the motor.

One of the questions i had was, When i go to push the piston in(on the caliper) with a C-clamp to fit the new pads and caliper over the rotor. Is it possible to damage anything in the ABS system with the fluid pressure going back through the lines?I was told by someone that it would.
Thanks!

re: pads

You must open the bleeder on the caliper when doing each side. This will avoid any damage to the ABS system. Use a hose slid over the bleeder and place the hose in a bottle with some brake fluid covering the hose (no air this way) and push in the piston. The brake job is really simple. lol.
