Thumbs up New Rims On The Way

I just won me a set of 17" tear drop rims off e-bay. I'll pay $103.50 for the rims and 40 for shipping. I didn't think that it was too bad of a deal. Now to get rid of these Johnny Broke-*** 235-70-16 pos tires.

Blue_Farmer,
Congratulations! I put the same wheels on my '97 Lariat SC two years ago, and put Goodyear Eagle GTII 275/60R17 tires on them. What really burns me up is that two years ago I had never heard of eBay and looked all over the place for a set of these rims. I finally found a set from a 4x4 at a local body shop, and I paid $500 for them!!! And I thought I was getting a bargain! AND, they didn't even come with center caps, which I bought straight from Ford for $64. Now I see these wheels all over the place for $200 or so (you got a steal for $103.50). Anyway, I highly recommend the GTII tires, if you have a 4x2; after over 25,000 miles they hardly look driven on, and I don't even rotate them like I should. They're fat enough that they stick out even with the fenders and look pretty cool! Go to www.tirerack.com and the tires will cost you $68 each, I believe. Another bargain! My next plans include SVT 18" wheels, painted to match the Prairie Tan of my two-tone paint, riding on some Pirelli 285/55R18's. I gotta dream! Anyway, enjoy your new ride!

Blue Farmer,
I too like to search ebay to find good deals, especially Ford and F150 items. Just curious, what was the ebay item number of the wheels you won?

Question

Here is the link to the page of the auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...ndexURL=0&rd=1

I've got a 4x4, so now the next thing will be getting me a good set of tires, REASONABLY cheap!
