Abs

Hello all:

I am seeking some assistance in the diagnosis of my ABS light issue. It was on when I bought the truck a few years ago, and since then, I have replaced both front hub assemblies (which came with new ABS sensors) as well as the rear ABS sensor on the front of the rear diff.

That has not helped with the light.

I have had a small leak in the front pinion seal of the rear diff that I will be replacing within the next few weeks. I am wondering if the diff fluid being slightly low if that would cause the issue.

I pulled the codes with a good scanner, but that was a while ago. I remember it returned with a handful of codes though.

Open to some suggestions. Thank you

Check the codes again. Not all code readers will read ABS codes.

How about some vehicle details? We have no clue what you are working on.

Read the codes and post them, please.

vehicle details would definitely help. I'm guessing its an older one if the rear speed sensor is on the rear diff.

The "ABS sensors" are better known as Wheel Speed Sensors. If putting on the new ones didn't help, then maybe its an issue with the ABS module itself.

Changing the rear diff fluid will have zero impact on ABS errors.

Pull codes with a scanner that can read ABS codes and post them here.
