Smile Lug nut styles

Hi my dad has a 1998 f150 4x4 that has aluminum wheels that are pitted around the bead and constantly losing air, so we picked up 4 steel factory Ford rims from a wrecker which I am having powder coated at work. The lug nuts on the aluminum ones have a washer attached to them ,and the stud holes on the steel rims look as though they are made for an ordinary tapered seat style nut. Am I correct? Second I would like the original centre caps to fit will they stay on to any aftermarket nut or do I need the Ford ones to do this thanks in advance.

You need the OEM Ford lugnuts to hold the center caps.
