rims/tires 2001 f150 Supercrew

Hi all,

I recently bought some goodyear wrangler duratrac 265/70 17 for my 2001 f150. Now I am looking at buying some new rims. I have stock suspension and have heard issues of some tires rubbing. The rims i am looking at are 17x9 with a -12mm offset. Does anybody know if these will rub or cause damage?

Thanks in advance

You should be fine. Did you crank up your torsion bars? That would help lift the front and level out the whole truck...

No I did not I just didn't know with those tires if adding an extra 1.5" of rim and an inch (26mm) of offset if it would rub or hit anything. I don't want to buy them and have issues.

Offset is only relative to wheel width, the backspacing of the stock wheels is right around 4.5" and the backspacing on your new wheels is also 4.5".

So I should be alright then without a leveling kit or lifting the truck?
