Any recommendation for rear rotor/pad kits on rockauto?

I see some are 12 and some are 13 inch. Looking to get a decent set of rear pads and rotors but I don't want to get some super high end kit that costs a ton. Got $100k out of the original pads and rotors, so anything similar is fine. There are a lot of kits there, and besides 6 lug, I don't know which is best for my truck.

Thanks in advance!

I'd look at Centric Posi-Quiet ceramic pads and premium rotors.

CENTRIC Part # 10510120 Posi-Quiet Ceramic w/Shims and Hardware Rear $28.79

CENTRIC Part # 12065102 Premium Rear; 6 Lug $54.79

I have these on the front of mine and they are outstanding. Stops well, quiet, smooth, no dust, and they have 110k on them and are still good for a while longer. Note that I still have the factory pads and rotors on the back of mine with 178k.

Thanks for the info, I'll definitely look into those. That's some good life with your rear oe rotors. How'd you get so much out of them? I don't ride my brakes at all and am not harsh with my truck at all. My rotors have pretty much sucked since new.

Today while getting re balanced I was told my rear original pads are 95% used and the rotors have a bluish tint from getting very hot. Since the truck only uses the rear for 20-30% stopping power, I'm not sure how that would happen. My front rotors are original, in great shape and have fresh pads.

Thanks again.

Also question, on the notes it states my inner and outter rear pads were wearing at different rates and the calipers could have issues or the sliders are sticking? How can I check this as I don't want to ruin new rotors and pads.

Thanks!

When you do the change, just clean and lube everything and it should be fine. Best stuff to lube the sliders and associated parts is Sil-Glyde from NAPA.

You may want to put new parking brake shoes in while you are in there. Those are cheap, Centrics are less than 15 bucks.

Thanks for all the good info. Just going to order those centric rotors and then get pads, e brake shoes and some lube for the sliders locally. I'll get this don't next week.

Also watched a cool video I saw someone posted on here some years ago where they used a bolt with nuts to kind of push the rotor off. Seemed to work well and I'm going to try it.
