Nitto's - What Size w/ 2.5" Level Kit and Back Airbags?
Hi All:
I've been a lurker for quite some time, but have never registered to join in on the fun! So, for a 1st post, I am looking for some tire size recommendations. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with larger Nitto Trails to replace my Cooper Discover (stock sized 265/70R/17) set. My fronts are getting down to the nub (maybe 5/32" left!).
On my '10 F-150 4x4, I installed the rough country 2.5" leveling kit on the front and have added the firestone 2525 airbag overloads to the back. Old "Fred" is stiff and sturdy now, but the big question is, how large of a tire can I go without rubbing, using no spacers? I was thinking of the Nitto Trails at 305/70R/17 on my stock rims. Wifey would smack the sh_t out of me if I dropped 1 or 2-large on a set of wheels, so, to keep the peace, I have decided that I can be happy with the stock rims as long as I can fill the wheel wells up with some sharp rubber.
