I too am in the market for new tires...I am kicking around the BFG All Terrains...

I currently have the BFG Rugged Terrains LT 275/65/18 with 54K miles...if it wasn't winter I would keep driving on them. But I may have to make some trips in the next few weeks up into the Sierras.

I got pricing for the All Terrains at Big -O...$ 233 each for the above size...To replace with the same Rugged Terrains they are quoting $ 313 ea. That is about $ 100 each more than I paid for them 4 yago...Salesman indicating they may be discontinuing them?

My only concern is that there is no mileage warranty on the All Terrains...

I can't say for sure because I have not had the KO2's long enough but my experience with previous LT tires is that they usually last as long if not in most cases longer than P rated.

From what I understand most people with 1/2 ton trucks usually experience good wear out of the BFG All Terrains.

Well I decided to go with the KO2s. Should be in tomorrow. What PSI do y'all recommend? They are LT275/65/18. I had a couple thoughts. Run what the door sticker says, so 35psi, or run what I have been reading BFG recommends, so 50psi, or something else? I've also read people running around 45psi, and some as high as 60psi. 70/30 highway/city I would say. Any recommendations? I'm leaning towards 45-50psi.

FWIW...

I have the BFG Rugged Terrains in the same size LT 275/65/18...at 40 psi they look like they are flat...or going flat...I am running mine at 50 psi...the ride is a bit firm but they don't look flat...Mine are E rated btw...I think the truck came with C rated from the factory...

My local Big-o always wanted to return them to the door sticker 40 psi...

I am looking at the KO2's myself...I have 55k on the Rugged terrains. If I don't go to the snow this winter I will try to ride out the winter with them...if I do go to the snow, I will need to replace them.

Regards!

A good start is to run 44 front and 42 rear for daily driving...add air according to the load you're towing or hauling. Each truck is different so some experimentation may be required! Door sticker is for the stock tires that usually are P rated and require less air. I would never go below 40 psi for an LT rated tire. Good choice on the tires!!

Well I went with the LT275/65/18 A/T KO2s, had them installed Monday. Drove about 700 miles Tues-Weds on the interstate. Initial impression, they are great. Better than the Duratracs I had on my last truck. I expected these to ride a lot rougher than the OEM P275/65/18 Wrangler SR/As, but they are not too bad. The ride is more stiff, but these feel much more stable and planted than the Wranglers. I think stopping is actually better, and the truck feel much more controlled than before. Glad I went with these over the Duratracs, now I see what everyone means about the DTs being overly flexible in the sidewalls. I'm at 45psi, fronts look a little low compared to back, I may add a little in front and drop a little in the back. We'll see.

Just ordered the KO2's for my 2004 FX4 on Friday, should be in this week or the next. LT275/70/18 (33.2") for my stock FX4 wheels. I paid $855.24 for the four tires which i thought was pretty good. Was between the Duratracs and a few others, but after seeing duratracs in person, (a local city near beach has them on every town truck) i was not crazy about the looks of the sidewall. The tires on my stock wheels now are 275/65/18 Bridgestone Dueler Revo 2. My other set of wheels XD Monsters 20 x 9 with Terra Grapplers P305/55/20. So this will be my first set of LT's. My truck has almost stock suspension. Front has replacement OE Spring and shock by Monroe i think. and rear has the bilstein 5100's, removed the rear 4x4 block, add a leaf by fat bob, and ground force drop shackle. So my rear is lowered to level out with front of truck, but the aal keeps rear from sagging. ** Also i purchased for $143.39 two pairs of Wheel Adapter/Spacers. They are 1.5" and hub centric. I measured my wheel studs and they are exactly 1.5" so this is the smallest adapter you can buy without altering anything else. Im hoping that the FX4 wheels stick out almost 0.5" similar to my XD monsters. Any way I will post Pics when im all done. Also Im hoping that im not stuck with the raised white lettering of the tires. I think the backside is all black.

I just ordered some for my truck today new wheels as well! I'll have them in as of Thursday afternoon

I went with 305/65R18 and Pro Comp series 31 18x9 wheels in black. They have a 0 offset and 5" BS, I did some research to make sure this wouldn't rub and it seems as though it won't. Close, but shouldn't be an issue with my 2.5" level. I can't wait!

Got 'em installed this morning...only got about 10 miles on them...next week is the test drive. I will probably put 500 miles on...gotta go to Reno and back, then to Lake Tahoe and back. Maybe I'll run into some snow...

I have bout 3000 miles on mine so far and I think they might are the best riding/handling AT tire I have ever owned.

This is exactly what I was going for!!!!!!! I knew from the start that i wanted the KO2s but considered the Open Country AT extreme but I figured this would fit a bit better, just a little shorter than a 295/70. The wheels were pretty much my first choice from the moment I started searching and I'm so glad I did this exact combination.

Tires are 305/65/18 and the rims are Pro Comp series 31 18x9 with a 0 offset and 5" BS. I'm going to need to trim my fender flares and front valence a tad, and the shop said instead of cutting the inner fender they typically drill a couple holes and zip tie the fender back. I'll do that before I cut. They also ride MUCH better than the ATZs thst came on it, and much quieter. Now for pics. Also included one from the day I brought it home. Have since removed faded billet grill insert, tinted windows, exhaust, and other little stuff.

Clearance the flare and front valence this morning. Just taped lines and used my multi tool to do the cuts, took maybe 15 minutes total. I could definitely clearance the inner fender for light duty trail use, but I'll do that down the road. Flares already rubbed in reverse so I just wanted to take care of that. For normal daily use this is fine right now.

And one more just because I currently am obsessing over how much more I love my truck now
