Tire input

The time has come to replace tires on my truck. I recently purchased the truck used back in July knowing that it would need tires within the year. The tires that are currently on are 315/75/16 Goodyear Wrangler m/t. The truck has 140k on it, so I don't really plan on keeping it long enough to have to purchase another set of tires. The truck spends majority of the time on the street, however come hunting season it does have to be able to get through the mud. I have been looking at the nitto trail grapplers as they seem to be a little more road friendly than the Goodyears. However, I can get the Goodyears through a friend for alot cheaper than the Nittos. Being as I dont plan on keeping the truck long enough to replace the tires again would I be better off going the cheaper route with the Goodyears or go with the Nittos. Im really trying to get other opinions as I keep debating since I like the Nittos more but the cost is somewhat of a deterrent. Thanks for the opinions in advance!

The Goodyear MT/R's are a really good tire. But as you said, the Nitto Trail Grapplers or Toyo MT's work better on the highway. You just need to decide if you are gonna keep the truck long enough to justify the higher cost of the Nitto's or Toyo's. How much money difference are you talking about?

My thoughts exactly. 8-900 for the goodyears. If by any chance I can get the nittos any cheaper, then it's a done deal. Just not sure if that much in tires is justifiable not knowing how much longer I'll keep the truck.
