Offset Question

I have a 2.5 inch leveling kit on my 05 Fx4 and I'm buying the 20x9 XD Hoss rims. I like the wider look with the -12 offset but i don't want it to rub, Is it safer to get the +18 offset or -12 offset, whatever will rub less. The tires are 295/60/20 Trail Grapplers

The tire you're looking at is roughly a 34 x 11.6 tire, I have run a 35x12.5 tire with a 0 offset on a 2.5 level. I had to do major trimming and it still rubbed, you should be much safer running the +18 offset but if you plan on lifting in the future those +18 offset rims may not have enough backspacing for a bigger lift. I'm almost certain you'd have to do some trimming if you went with the -12.

I was leaning more towards the +18 just to be on the safe side, I just wanted to double check, thanks
